AppleとFord Motorは、次世代EV基盤にAppleの「マップ」を直接組み込むと発表した。新提供のSDKを活用し、iPhoneを接続せずに車載機能としてナビゲーションを稼働させる。EV向け経路探索や充電向け温度調整にも対応するほか、Fordのハンズフリー走行機能「BlueCruise」の開発にも地図情報を活用する。
