Intelは、米国アリゾナ州オコティージョで建設中の「Fab 62」を、2028年末までに稼働させる計画を明らかにした。同キャンパスで6棟目となる量産ファブで、建設と製造装置の搬入・設置を本格化している。オハイオ州ニューアルバニーの「Intel Ohio One」でも、最初のファブに用いる大型構造トラスの設置が完了。オレゴン州の先端プロセス開発、アリゾナ州とニューメキシコ州の先端パッケージング、カリフォルニア州のマスク製造を含め、米国内で研究開発から量産までを担う半導体製造基盤を強化する。
